Israel : Presentation

May 2007, first edition of the Peace Rally.

In a region where we talk about peace, but ultimately seems to be constantly at war, this Rally is a real challenge. The Peace Rally has demonstrated that there was justification to do something to gather people beyond the religious or political divisions.
As its name suggests, the purpose of the Peace Rally is to promote peace between nations.

The first edition in 2007 has undoubtedly been a great success. First, because it was the first time such a race was organized in Israel. Second, because it was great to gather professionals in this type of racing and provide extreme sensations.

For the 2008 edition, the situation has changed and the rally became an official race based on the rules dictated by the international federation. New rules, new name: the rally became the "Peace Rally Baja-Middle East".

The second edition of the Peace Rally took place in Israel in June 2008. A total of 115 crew members and 25 professional crews competed over the course of 400km which took us from Tiberias to Eilat. Candidates went through all kinds of difficulties (volcanic stone, fesh-fesh, wadis ...) and land to the best time special. The last day, participants were faced with an extremely short but professional in the mountains overlooking the King Solomon Eilat.

The Peace Rally - Middle East Baja, is open to all classes: T1, T2, motorcycles, quads, buggies, and of course for amateurs, for fun. The Peace Rally - Baja Middle East meets all the criteria of the FIA and SIM, both logistical, mechanical and security.
"You should know that the Peace Rally competes in Israel, where security is a key word. Being present at the Rally for Peace - Baja Middle East, proclaiming loudly that motorsport is one of keys that can lead to reconciliation between people and peace. We believe, very strongly to this message and we hope others will join us", says Arié Levy, President of “Rescuers Without Borders”, an ecumenical organization of international medical aid.

For his part, Guy Senbel, Guysen TV president and founder of the Peace Rally, there are now two good reasons to go on: "I participated in many rallies, including the Dakar and I know perfectly well this wonderful course. I can tell all participants that they should come and join the adventure of the Peace Rally -- Baja Middle East. And I guarantee great feelings and sensations. Certainly, the Rally is not as long as the Dakar but I am sure they will be full of thrills".

The message is clear and should be launched…

For the 2009 edition, the organizers reserve many surprises for participants. The latter, won by the 2008 edition, are likely to return and of course, attracted by the success of previous editions of new crews from around the world, want to be part of the next race.

In 2008 no less than 6 Palestinian crews were there.
In 2009, drivers from different countries will be taking part in this project to try to open dialogue through sport. Israelis and Palestinians will be joined by several teams: Jordanian, Moroccan, and Tunisian... The French are also widely represented. Several women's teams will also enter for the 2009 edition of the Peace Rally - Baja Middle East.
