The Minister of Transport, Shaul Mofaz, is actively supporting the Peace Rally initiative. He considers that it is through operations of this nature that people will be able to turn to the path of peace. His participation has facilitated the registration of the foreign teams and above all has led to the authorization for a route that is innovative and highly technical.

The press agency Guysen Israel News initiated the Peace Rally together with Rescuers Without Borders. For nine years the teams of Guysen’s journalist have been reporting the news from the Middle East to French speakers all over the world. The Guysen agency is today the world’s most recognized source of news on this area of the world.

Rescuers Without Borders is an organization whose purpose is to offer assistance to every person in danger regardless of race, religion or political tendency. RWB intervenes in large scale disasters by sending doctors, nurses and medical equipment. It works for greater understanding between people.

The fight against road accidents concerns all of us. By associating itself with the Peace Rally, the Department for Road Safety at the Ministry of Transport, is showing its desire to raise awareness amongst the public for the necessity of careful driving, respecting the highway code and not driving when drunk. The teams will try to spread this message during the rally.

Club Med joined the Peace Rally very naturally to the extent that this project is recorded in the articles of Club Med. Club Med recently organized a peace crossing between Akaba and Eilat, with groups of French, Jordanian and Israeli swimmers. The Peace Rally with its teams of diverse nationalities corresponds to Club Med’s proven commitment to peace.
